This Global Health Compassion Rounds webinar will highlight the lived experience of compassion through powerful stories of ‘compassion in action’ shared by invited speakers from Burkina Faso, Pakistan, Eastern Congo, and Sri Lanka. We will connect with these compassionate individuals, representing diverse sectors in global health, to learn how compassion is embodied and enacted. The discussion that follows will spark new thinking on how to scale up compassion at all levels – from the individual to the health system – with a particular focus on the delivery of quality health services. Our focus on human interactions can inform us on the mechanisms through which compassion can be cultivated and shed light on how to tap into the contagious nature of compassion. What we learn from these stories can also inform how communities can become more involved in catalyzing compassionate health systems.
